The Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple in Pathankot is a popular Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is believed to be one of the very few temples in India where Lord Hanuman is worshipped in his five-faced form or the Panchmukhi Hanuman. The temple's history can be traced back to the 16th century when it is believed that the idol of Lord Hanuman was found by a saint in a nearby forest. The saint then installed the idol in a small temple which became the foundation of the present-day Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple. The temple gained prominence in the 19th century when it was visited by the famous Hindu saint, Shri Swami Vivekananda. He is believed to have meditated at the temple and also gave a discourse on the teachings of Lord Hanuman.
